Royal Doulton Silver Collared Stoneware Lord Nelson Commemorative Jug. A fine stoneware jug by Royal Doulton commemorating Admiral Lord Nelson. The jug is of cylindrical form with a bulbous base. It has a royal blue glaze and is decorated with a portrait of Lord Nelson and ships (presumably HMS Victory) in relief. Above the portrait are the words England Expects Every Man Will Do His Duty and below the portrait Lord Nelson, Born 1758 Died 1805. The jug has a handle in the form of a rope and silver collar to the top which is hallmarked for Chester, 1905. The jug has the Royal Doulton stamp to the underside. The jug has a diameter of 5 inches (12.5cm) and a height of 8 ½ inches (21.5cm). It weighs 1.06 Kg. The jug is in a very nice condition with just some light wear to the collar.
