This jug has been in our family since new. The jug is numbered 658 in an edition of 1000 it is10 1/2 high and weighs 4lb 8oz. The jug features some of Dickens most popular characters. The Artful dodger picking Barnaby Rudge’s pocket, Little Nell, Bill Sykes and his dog, Sam Weller, Poor Joe, Fagin, Sairey Gamp, Dick Swiveller, Mrs. Bardel, Pecksniff, Sydney Carton, Pickwick, Trotty Veck and Mantalini. The spout is a mask of Dickens. The handle shows an open book inscribed’DICKENS MASTER OF SMILES and TEARS’, raised letters above the base is’LORD KEEP MY MEMORY GREEN’.
