This stunning antique Doulton Lambeth stoneware ewer/pitcher/jug is of a wonderful bulbous shape with a short slim neck with a wide rim and pouring lip and short curved handle, standing on a circular spreading base. It is superbly decorated with an embossed leaf and scroll pattern with beaded decoration in dark and pale blue and brown colours, superb quality and craftsmanship. Measuring 9 1/2″ high by 4 1/2″ at its widest part of the body approx. It is in excellent antique used condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration and is impressed marked to the base with the Date 1877, the Doulton Lambeth mark and artists/designers marks of ELE for Louisa E.
