ROYAL DOULTON CHARACTER JUG – THE GOLFER – PROTOTYPE COLOURWAY – D7064. Offered for sale is this charming Royal Doulton Character Jug called The Golfer, modeled by David Biggs. It is a colourway prototype. The handle is cleverly formed as a set of golf clubs. He has a blue shirt with a red collar, whereas the version which was eventually issued has a yellow shirt with a white collar. 5 inches tall and is offered for sale in very good condition with no chips, cracks or damage. Royal Doulton Santa Toby Jug D6793. Modelled by Michael Abberley 1987. Santa with the rare red and white candy cane handle. Rare as this was Ltd to 1000 made and you don’t see this one very often. No chips or cracks. I do see some minor crazing on the underside bottom (see last 2 pics), but nowhere else. Approx 7-1/2″ tall and approx 6″ wide excluding the handle which adds another 1-1/2. Ive been collecting these mugs for over 40 years and this is the only one Ive ever seen. I dont think even the. American Toby Jug Museum. 5 7/8 tall two-sided. Jug is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Free from most issues with white jugs, however there is some very slight crazing, but still in GREAT SHAPE. Ultra RARE 1984 CLARK GABLE Royal Doulton Character Toby Jug Mug from The Celebrity Collection #D6709 of the famous Gone With The Wind Actor is Hand Painted Porcelain made in England. Approval was denied by The Clark Gable Estate to distribute this character jug, so only about 100 or less of these jugs, designed by Royal Doulton artist Stanley J. Taylor, are known to exist. Gable is depicted with his signature smile and the handle of the jug is an Old Hollywood movie camera with film wrapped around. The bottom has his facsimile signature with a quote of his famous last line from Gone With The Wind. Collectible jug mug measures approximately 7″h x 5.5″w at bottom. Clark is in Very Excellent to condition with no damage. Colors are nice and bright. There is some glare on our photos due to the high gloss glaze. Clark has been in our Gone With The Wind Collection for about 20 years. Comes from a smoke-free home. A very scarce Royal Doulton Corinth shape LARGE jug in Athens pattern D3302. It is regarded as one of the very first Doulton seriesware patterns and it is not commonly seen. DIMENSIONS: approx 18 centimeters or 7 inches tall and approx 11 centimeters or 4 1/4 inches diameter at the top. CONDITION: presents as perfect and displays very well – no chips, cracks or repairs. A little age related coloured unobtrusive crazing inside the jug which doesn’t affect the display of the piece – from the outside (display side) it is great (look at the interior pictures for clarification). This ” two faced ” character jug was the first ever produced by Royal Doulton and is even more unusual as it was one of the few items produced during the World War II years.
