A superb Doulton Lambeth England profusely decorated stoneware jug signed MVM (Mark Marshall – one of the most sought after artists from the Doulton Lambeth works). Dimensions: approx 24 cms (9 1/2″) tall, approx 19 cms (7 1/2″) handle to spout and the circumference of the jug body is 51 cms (20) – it is a large piece by anyones standards. Condition: presents as perfect but has the feintest, tight stable hairline on the rim that extends about 4 cms (1 1/2) down the jug. Otherwise free from damage or repair. Unless you have the piece within inches of your face – you will struggle to detect this minor fault and the piece still displays beautifully.
