This is the last Toby Jug of Grand-daddy’s to list. Keep in mind we know very little as we are not collectors. As you eBayer’s check out the listing feel free to write and have me add what you think we should include. We have tried to take detailed photographs to show you how lovely this is. After that they had no more room to put them in the china closet. We believe this is Mephistopheles. It is, we think a two sided devil. It was their favorite. We can remember him saying, Now, which one are you going to be today? It is very high gloss and perfect. The detailing around the eyes is magnificent. This actually scared all of us. To the point no one argued to have this one as a reminder of Grand-daddy! This is the full size Toby Character Jug a little under 6 inches tall. Non smoking, no pet home. Please look at the bottom photo and see if you can decode when it was made. Someone told us the A made it older and the R means it was hand signed. We do not know. It will be fully insured, with tracking numbers. It will be very well packaged as we know the postal service is not reading the FRAGILE labeling on packages. I dont know the age of this jug. This is a nice-sized jug measuring 5-3/4 at its tallest point. Please read this description and review the close-up photos carefully. This jug is in lovely shape. I checked over it carefully and dont see any cracks, chips, or crazing in the glaze. No stains or spots inside. The base has minor scuffing around the edges as you can see from sitting on a shelf. Note that the small light brown area you see on the base edge is NOT a chip. This spot isn’t indented like a chip would be, doesn’t feel rough, and the glaze is over its surface. White color on the base looks a little bit splotchy as you can see (not perfectly white). Any suspicious-looking white spots you see are just glare from my cameras flash. I will take great care in packaging your jug (wrapped securely in bubble wrap, double-boxed, and surrounded by lots of packing peanuts).
