1800’s English Silver Luster Toby Jug

Wonderful 1800’s English Silver Luster Toby Jug. The glossy jug features a chubby gentleman. In his hand is a small round flat piece. The hat has a curved shape. There appear to be grape clusters on the textured base, and there is a grape vine with a grape cluster on the reverse side of the base. There are two small raised spots on the handle. The figure has a grin on his face. The base is not marked. SIZE: 9 1/4 inches high x 6 3/4 inches wide at widest part. CONDITION: There is wear to the metallic surfaces. The base has a sticker, which I will remove. There is much glare / reflection in the photos — a difficult item to photograph. The jug is in very nice condition. Great collector’s piece. For sale are these stunning antique ewer / jugs. Made by Royal Doulton dating to the early 1900’s Art Nouveau era. Glazed Stoneware stylised with floral motifs. Tube-lined with raised beaded design. These are decorated and signed by Maud Bowden one of the finest artists of Royal Doulton in the early 20th Century. Both of the jugs have the pressed model number 7803C. One of the jugs is in very good condition with no damage. The other has 2 beads missing and wobbles on the base. Height approx 28 cm to top of handle. Width approx 12 cm. Base approx 6.5 cm.
