It is our pleasure to offer for your consideration from our personal collection in our smoke-free home: A lovely, RARE vintage Royal Doulton 2-faced Devil Character Toby Jug “Mephistophetes” with the verse on the bottom. This is a gorgeous Jug that has a full and rich blend of colors and nicely glazed. 3-3/8″ tall, and 4″ from the left side to the right edge of the handle. This is in excellent condition, EXCEPT for one small imperfection or chip in the surface of the finish. It is just the finish that has come off in this area and because the underneath color is similar to the finish color, it is not that easy to see in a normal viewing distance (see the last 2 pictures). Other than this, there are no chips, fleabites, breaks, cracks, crazing, repairs or stains. This is a vintage item that has been displayed and handled.
