This gorgeous detailed hand painted handmade Royal Doulton Character Jug named Falconer D6533 was designed by Max Henk, and was issued between 1960 and 1991. This Character Jug features the Falconer with his trained Falcon. Once called the sport of kings, falconry is the art of training birds of prey for the hunt. Standing approximately 7 1/2″ tall x 7″ wide, he is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs, and no fading. See pictures for details including bottom markings. Jug may show signs of shelf wear where it rested on a shelf. This is part of a Royal Doulton collection from an Estate.
