This magnificent large size character jug is the original factory prototype for’The Piper’. However the badges and uniform colours were changed when they did not obtain the necessary permissions to use the actual Black Watch uniform. In the end they combined elements of the red Gordon Highlanders uniform in the manner of the William Grant decanter which had been such a phenomenal success for the company a few years before. The jug is in excellent condition with prototype markings on the base. Measures approximately 8.25 inches high. In mint condition with no crazing, no faults, no damages and no restoration.
