The jug is in excellent condition with no damage, repairs, scratches or paint rub. The colours are vibrant and the glaze high gloss. There is fine crazing visible over the cream areas of the outside walls of the body and underside of the base. The base stamp is the Royal Doulton insignia with lion over crown in red with the pattern number D4049 in black. There are three small underglaze raised marks and an underglaze indentation on the underside base (shown clearly in photo) – all appear to have been part of production process – none detract from the appearance, functionality or stability of the jug. Dimensions are: height – 95mm, width spout to handle – 110mm, width side to side 85mm (main body), diameter 65mm (rim), 60mm (base). Unpackaged weight is 220g.
