A nice advertising piece. Doulton Lambeth Thornes scotch whisky harvest ware jug. Fabulous looking advertising jug, stands almost 8 inches tall and measures about 5 inches across the base. Raised trade mark cartouche to the front, below the writing, which reads; THORNE’S SCOTCH WHISKY Impressed makers marks to the base read; Doulton Lambeth England. A lovely looking jug that still displays well, but unfortunately has had a knock on the lip, which has resulted in it having a, albeit very tight, crack running about 3/4 of the way down from it. The original ding has had some paint on it by the looks of it, the crack hasn’t been touched. It also has a tiny chip on the base.
