Magnificent Royal Doulton of England large character jug,’Merlin’ – D 7117, part of the Mystical Characters collection issued in 1999 in a limited edition number of 1500 pieces, this one being #228. Hand-painted beautifully in a vibrant multi-colored glaze by Royal Doulton renowned artist Robert Tabbenor, reflecting intricate detailing both in facial features an in the handle which features an awesome dragon and sword Excalibur. The jug measures approximately 7 high, is in pristine, flawless condition, comes with a laminated Certificate of Authenticity and is personally autographed on the base by the artist himself. An absolutely incredible keepsake piece and an extremely collectible jug for a Royal Doulton Character Jug collection!
