VERY RARE Royal Doulton SAIREY GAMP Mini Character Toby Jug Mug Dickens Toothpick Holder 8342. “Sairey Gamp” is one of the classic and original Royal Doulton characters created during the first decade of creating these collectibles– and this is quite the rare one as it was designed without a handle! Some list this as a toothpick holder or a sugar bowl, but this is one of the many characters from Charles Dickens’ novels to inspire the Royal Doulton artisans during the early 1940s. The bottom of this miniature 2.25-inch-high handmade and hand-decorated jug shows the “Royal Doulton Made in England” seal with a crowned lion atop a crown and the slight number 8342. This Royal Doulton Toby Jug is in VERY GOOD condition. No cracks, chips or repairs. What you see pictured is what you will receive.
