1910 ROYAL DOULTON KINGSWARE DEWARS WHISKEY THE PIPE MAJOR POTTERY JUG WithSTOPPER
An original Dewar’s Whiskey Royal Doulton Kingsware “The Pipe Major” jug that is over 100 years old. The front of the jug has a nice multi color picture of a Scottish pipe major in full military attire with his bag pipes. Approximately 8″ tall without the stopper; 9″ with the stopper. Base marked: ROYAL DOUTON ENGLAND with lion & crown stamp. No chips or cracks, with some. Crazing consistent with its 100+ year old age. The flask has its original stopper with the original cork intact. Please refer to pictures for further detail on condition. Feedback will be left once received. Royal Doulton Kingsware Dewars Pipe Major Flask 1910. Made at the Royal Doulton Art Pottery Studio’s in England. This is a footed ovoid body tapering to a small off-center Neck & spout. The Bottle has a small loop shoulder handle. Also a silver stopper. The main decoration is a molded figure of a Scots Piper titaled “The Pipe Major”. This piece was made for Dewars Whisky in 1910. It stands 8 1/2 tall. Stopper can be be polished. The Flask is empty & has not had whisky inside for over 109 years Marked on the bottom with the Royal Doulton, Lion & Crown Mark & Dewars Whisky. There are no chips, cracks nor repairs. Must see in person to fully appreciate how handsome it is. Here’s an original Dewar’s Whiskey Royal Doulton kingsware “Pipe Major” jug over 100 years old….. The front of the jug has a nice multi color picture of a Scottish pipe major in full military attire with his bag pipes. The back has Dewar’s embossed…. Maker’s mark on bottom ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND with crown, etc…… Brown glazed oval jug with handle and offset pour spout flared lip…. Multi color features on the man in uniform….. Oval with footed base……… Excellent shiny nice condition with no chips or damage of any kind. A nice clean jug with no stain. This Royal Doulton jug was made in the 1910 era for Dewar’s Whisky.
