The name of this item is called “The Sleuth” item# D6635 from Royal Doulton. This character jug features Arthur Conan Doyle’s character, Amateur Sleuth – Sherlock Holmes. The handle is of a pipe and magnifying glass. The bottom of this piece reads the following in green under the clear glaze, “Made In England, Royal Doulton, The Sleuth, D 6635, Doulton & Co Limited 1972, Registration Applied For”.
