Royal Doulton Guy Fawkes Jug – Harry Fenton 27/600. The richly decorated circa 1935 large jug, designed by Harry Fenton, was created as a limited edition of 600, this one being the low numbered 27th piece. Guy Fawkes is depicted in relief, he is surrounded by barrels of gunpowder in the cellars of the Houses of Parliament and has just been discovered. The handle is in the form of a blazing torch. November 5th, 1605, Guy Falks, Oyez! Let it be known to all just men and citizens that a certain traitor – to wit- Guy Fawkes having with other conspirators wickedly and of set purpose plotted to blow up His Majesty’s House of Parliament with gunpowder placed in the cellars, thereof was taken de facto in the act and is herewith committed with the other traitors to be executed. Edition limited to 600, this jug is no. There is also the Royal Doulton, Made In England backstamp for 1932 on-wards. Dimensions The jug has a height of 7.5 inches (19 cm), a depth of 8 inches (20.3 cm) & a diameter of 5 inches (12.7 cm). It weighs 786 g. Condition The jug is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or restoration. There are a few, tiny areas of surface glass loss.
