Vladimir Ulyanov aka Lenin was born in 1870 and died in 1924. He was a Russian politician, communist revolutionary, and head of government. He is considered one of the most significant and also polarizing figures of the 20th century- with some feeling he was a brutal dictator and others that he was a champion of the working people. While he started as a Marxist in ideology, Lenin developed his own political theories that became known as Leninism. Royal Doulton’s version of Lenin features the famed leader in middle age. He has a bald head with dark gray hair at the edges. His serious goatee and mustache and piercing gray eyes. His lips are together in a semi-smile. He smartly dressed in a charcoal gray suit, maroon tie and white dress shirt. The handle features a medallion, statue and the monument on his grave. Jackie’s Treasure and Collectibles Fast Facts.
