Royal Doulton Duke of Wellington Character Jug D7170 Large Limited Ed Signed. Royal Doulton Duke of Wellington character jug. The ceramic jug depicts of bust of Arthur Wellesley, a 19th century British military and political figure, with a horse and parchment serving as the handle to one side. Commemorating the 150th anniversary of the death of the Duke of Wellington, it is a worldwide limited edition of 1000 pieces. This is numbered 271/1000 and is signed by Michael Doulton to the underside. It was handmade and decorated in England in 2001 and is marked Royal Doulton D7170. It is in excellent prewoned condition and comes with with the original Classics box and Certificate of Authenticity (COA). It is about 7 1/2 inches high, 7 1/2 inches wide, and 7 inches deep. D6600 was registered in 1964 and RD No 917233 dates from 1964. This is based on the poem. The Walrus and the Carpenter by Lewis Carol and is quoted to Alice in Through the Looking Glass. Size: 18.5cm tall, 18cm wide, and 11.5cm deep. In very good used condition – no chips, cracks, crazing. Please check photo’s as they form part of the description and condition.
