A very unusual antique Royal Doulton stoneware tavern toasting pitcher. Standing approximately 9 1/2″ tall and nearly 20″ around the lower base of the body, this ewer is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing, areas of paint wear, or repairs. There are several interior scratches at the bottom, presumably from use. I can find no other example of this Doulton mold, nor is there a series ware stamp on the bottom (ie D1234) so I can’t date it more specifically.
