Hydra Jug Royal Doulton Snake Handle And Jardiniere Pattern England Antique 1903

An antique Royal Doulton Hydra Jug with a Jardiniere Imari pattern and a handle which depicts a snake with a human head. It has the Royal Doulton mark which was in use from 1902 to 1922. It also has a hand-numbered “D 1806″ production number which indicates its origin in 1903. The jug is 7 inches tall and has an octagonal bottom portion which is 6 inches wide. It is in very good antique condition with no chips and no loss of color or gilt. The piece does have crazing, please see detailed photos, including a close-up photo with lighting that emphasizes the crazing.

Royal Doulton Character Jugs of KENNETH WILLIAMS and. They are depicting the characters of Dr. Matron from the 1967 British Comedy Film “Carry on Doctor”. It is the second in the series to have a medical theme. Frankie Howerd makes the first of his two appearances in the film series and stars alongside regulars Sid James, Kenneth Williams, Jim Dale, Charles Hawtrey, Joan Sims, Peter Butterworth, and Bernard Bresslaw. Jugs issued around 2001. Limited Edition of 1500. This pair is marked No. 545 on both jugs. Height is about 4 1/4 inches. Excellent pre-owned condition with no chips, no cracks, no crazing.

Picked up at antique store. Couldn’t find too much online about these seem extremely rare. Part of international air race in Reimes, France. This series produced from 1909-14 by Royal Doulton. Jug is a bit over 6.5 inches tall.

The ceramic jug depicts of bust of Arthur Wellesley, a 19th century British military and political figure, with a horse and parchment serving as the handle to one side. Commemorating the 150th anniversary of the death of the Duke of Wellington, it is a worldwide limited edition of 1000 pieces. This is numbered 271/1000 and is signed by Michael Doulton to the underside. It was handmade and decorated in England in 2001 and is marked Royal Doulton D7170. It is in excellent prewoned condition and comes with with the original Classics box and Certificate of Authenticity (COA). It is about 7 1/2 inches high, 7 1/2 inches wide, and 7 inches deep. This vintage Royal Doulton whiskey Noke (jug) is a unique find for any collector.
