Isle of Man Series. I have for sale from my own private collection a very rare Miniature Jug. The Isle of Man series was introduced by Royal Doulton in 1909 the date of withdrawal is not recorded but is likely to be prior to 1914. Plates and vases do crop up in this Series, however, I have never seen a Miniature! The jug features scene 3 with an old man walking in the country side. To the reverse is a landscape view with two cottages. Fully marked to the base with the special Triscelion (Three legs) backstamp and an impressed shape number of 959.
