Up for sale is a Vintage Limited Edition Royal Doulton The Dickens Jug. This item is fully marked at the bottom it is numbered 571 of a limited production of 1000. Dont let it go!! Estimated to have been made in England during the 20. The jug is fully marked at the bottom. 10.5 tall; 11 wide. The jug shows some crazing; there are not hairlines, cracks or restorations to note; colours are rich and vivid. Please note that this is an old item; therefore you should not expect to have a new or an in perfect condition looks. This item is from the past and does have a history. Rare Antique Royal Doulton Mr Pickwick Kingsware Whiskey Flask Jug Dickens

Pickwick Kingsware whiskey decanter/flask/jug from the early 1900s. This jug is just shy of 8 inches high. It is about 13 inches in circumference. It is missing the original stopper. It is in good condition with no chips, cracks or restorations. There is light crazing underneath the glaze that is common in these jugs due to age. This jug is a beautiful chestnut brown, done in the Kingsware glaze by Charles Noke. It features two characters; Mr. Pickwick on one side of the jug and Sammy on the other. On the bottom it has the Royal Doulton England lion/crown stamp. Please view the photos. There options will be more expensive than the rates listed below. I have for sale, from my own private collection, a wonderful and rare Art Deco Jug. Produced in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, England, in 1933. Depicting a multitude of Charles Dickens Characters in low relief all of whom are listed to the base. The handle is modeled as Poor Joe’ from the novel Bleak House, with the spout as a mask in slumber. Designed by and signed by Charles Noke and inscribed’Keep any mind Green. The jug is of bulbous form and stands at 10 1/2 ins tall. Fully marked to the base with the Royal Doulton Lion and Crown. Although not a Limited Edition, it is widely believed that less than 1,000 were produced. The jug is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or restoration. There is some minor crazing to the glaze which is to be expected for a piece of this age. A wonderful Deco Jug which would grace any serious Doulton collection. This beautiful toby jug is very special, it features Charles Dickens with double handles, very bright and vibrant colors, this was issued in 1995 as a commemorative piece for the 125th anniversary of his death.
