Dimensions The watch has a diameter of 5cm (2 inches). Condition The monogrammed front is rather worn and the crown is a little damaged but still works with care. Overall the watch is in a good condition with light general wear. It is in working order. Waltham Watch Company In 1850, at Roxbury, Massachusetts, David Davis, Edward Howard, and Aaron Lufkin Dennison formed the company that would later become the Waltham Watch Company. Their revolutionary business plan was to manufacture the movement parts of watches so precisely that they would become fully interchangeable. Based upon the experience of earlier failed trials, Howard and Dennison eventually perfected and patented their precision watch making machines, creating what has been called the American System of Watch Manufacturing. The Waltham Watch Company, also known as the American Waltham Watch Co. And the American Watch Co. Produced about 40 million watches, clocks, speedometers, compasses, time fuses, and other precision instruments between 1850 and 1957. The company’s historic 19th-century manufacturing facilities in Waltham, Massachusetts have been preserved as the American Waltham Watch Company Historic District. #570 For further details and condition see pictures below… The item “A 1905 Royal Doulton Nelson Centenary Jug” is in sale since Friday, July 02, 2010.
