Royal Doulton The Sir Frances Drake Jug. Designed by Charles Noke and Harry Fenton. Measures 10 1/2″ tall at the tallest point and 9 1/2″ from handle to spout. Condition – Great shape with no chips or cracks, there is light crazing. You might see some light reflected off of the glossy surface that will appear to be white or blue spots. This is only camera glare, please don’t confuse it with loss or damage. Issued in 1933 in a limited edition of 500. It appears that this jug is number 178 in that series. Large Vintage Royal Doulton Jug “The Village Blacksmith” Limited Edition 1936. Limited edition jug, inspired by the poem by Henry Longfellow “The Village Blacksmith”. On one side is the Blacksmith. , and on the other are the children coming home from school who. Love to see the flaming forge. Designed by Charles Noke and featuring his name on one side of the handle, and Longfellows on the other. This jug is number 288 of a limited edition of 600, and was produced in 1936. Printed and painted marks to base, impressed Noke signature to body. Approximate measurements: 8″ tall, 9″ from spout to handle. No chips, cracks or repairs.
