Great Condition no cracks, chips , repairs or damage to this. Has only sat in Display cabinet with other Character Jugs. This item is from our own personal collection, we have bought or been given to us over the years. Free from damage or restoration unless otherwise stated. Aging and some crazing is to be expected. 1800’s English Silver Luster Toby Jug
Wonderful 1800’s English Silver Luster Toby Jug. The glossy jug features a chubby gentleman. In his hand is a small round flat piece. The hat has a curved shape. There appear to be grape clusters on the textured base, and there is a grape vine with a grape cluster on the reverse side of the base. There are two small raised spots on the handle. The figure has a grin on his face. The base is not marked. SIZE: 9 1/4 inches high x 6 3/4 inches wide at widest part. CONDITION: There is wear to the metallic surfaces. The base has a sticker, which I will remove. There is much glare / reflection in the photos — a difficult item to photograph. The jug is in very nice condition. Great collector’s piece. Vintage English Earthenware Polychrome Large Toby Jug The Squire / Wonderful
Wonderful Vintage English Earthenware Polychrome Toby Jug, “The Squire”. The glossy jug is beautifully colored. The figure wears a large-brimmed black hat. This distinctive jug depicts a thin, gaunt gentleman with a beaky nose and long lank hair down to his shoulders. He is sitting on a corner chair wearing a long coat, knee breeches and hose, neck-scarf and buckled shoes. He clutches a jug of foaming ale to his belly. The base is an unusual shape, completely flat on the underside. The interior is gray. There is no maker’s mark. The Squire Jug is modeled after a Ralph Wood Original Squire Jug. The figure is not formed with the original pipe in the opposite hand. SIZE: 11 3/4 inches high x 7 inches wide at widest part. CONDITION: The jug is in good condition with crazing — there is a small hole at the end of the jacket sleeve, left side (as made) — the base rim has a chip. The jug is in very nice condition — very clean and bright. Nice collector’s piece — with great colors. ROYAL DOULTON ENGLISH ROSE HOT WATER JUG D6071 c1930 PRE-LOVED

The mark on the underside of the jug, from my own research, indicates that it was commonly in use after 1932 but sometimes seen between 1928 and 1931. There are no chips or cracks or wear to the gold gilding. Minimal crazing commensurate with age. A delightful addition to add style and class to your décor or for the collector.
