Doulton Burslem A2978 Hand Painted Pink & Orange Floral & Raised Gold Jug / Ewer. Nice earthenware ewer / jug. Decorated with large hand painted pink and orange flowers with raised gold gilt highlights and blue, pink, purple, and orange leaves. With a patchwork floral design around the bottom of the spout. Gold gilding along the foot rim, neck, and to the handle. Marked with a crown over Doulton Burslem. This mark was used by Royal Doulton between 1886 to 1891. Has crazing typical of earthenware and the spout appears to had a small section of the end broken off and gilded over to try and hide this. No additional chips, chips, or restoration. Measures approximately 6 1/4 inches wide x 10 inches tall. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
