Because they are each done by hand in different colors and glazes each one is different making them one of a kind pieces. This one is very nice. Royal Doulton Snake Charmer D6912 Sample Toby Jug. A rare Royal Doulton sample character jug called’The Snake Charmer’ (D6912). It has Sample painted to the base. It has an unusual colourway with a gilt trumpet (the standard ones are brown), deeper skin tone and black over gilt gem to the turban. The jug is 7 inches (18cm) tall and weighs 0.97 Kg. A Royal Doulton Rare sample character jug of Napoleon, D6941, this was produced in a Limited Edition Of 2000, however this one is clearly numbered as Sample being made prior to the 2000. Modelled by Stanley James Taylor for production in 1993, this one has gold painted Eagle and trim rather than the limited edition dark cream. Height approximately 17.5cm. Auld Mac Toby Jug. Colour Sample pieces have the same model number as the production piece but were painted in different colors, or in this case glazed differently, and were never put into production. As with early prototypes the older pieces in color samples are usually’one of a kind’, where later color samples there are usually two to three. This makes this beautiful Flambe Auld Mac toby jug very rare and unique. This rare Flambe Auld Mac toby is marked with both the “Auld Mac D5824″ stamp and the Property of Royal Doulton… Not For Sale stamp. Also, the words “Colour Sample” are written on the bottom. Some of the most valuable jugs on the market in recent times have been those made relatively recently in small editions or as factory samples or prototypes. 4 Height approx. This jug is what serious collectors look for. This rare Flambe Auld Mac toby jug is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, or scratches that I can see. Royal Doulton Character Jug Nurse D7216 SAMPLE PIECE! CASDAY RARE

Very Rare and Unique Piece. Up for sale is a Royal Doulton D7216 Nurse sales sample made by Casday. This Doulton measure approximately 5+ inches high. The D7216 piece was made specifically for the International Doulton Collectors Club (IDCC) for the year 2008 so the normal D7216 piece in and off itself is limited in edition size. This particular piece was the single piece that was made for display at numerous shows throughout the United States that showed the new Doulton pieces coming out in the year 2008. It was obtained from the US sales representative for Doulton that used the piece in giftware shows back in 2007and early 2008. This piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Both of the other examples were also from 2007. Both items had the exact same markings on the bottom of the pieces. Both of these sales took place in 2008. I can find no other Casday sample sales of Toby/Character mugs since. Please let me know if you have any questions or need any additional information or pictures. The jug depicts him in his full military uniform with gold and platinum highlights of his medals, helmet and jacket.
