Up for sale is this large, striking vintage Royal Doulton character Toby jug depicting Vice Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson. It’s in excellent condition with no damages, repairs or crazing and very minor wear on the outside bottom. Accompanying the jug is a laminated card indicating this character jug was modeled by Stanley James Taylor and is a special edition available only during 1993. The outside bottom of the jug, in addition to bearing the Royal Doulton mark, indicates the jug is to commemorate the 1805 battle of Trafalgar edition – this is the battle in which the English navy at the time had their greatest defeat of Napoleon and the battle during which Lord Nelson died.
