1877 SUPERB ROYAL DOULTON LAMBETH STONEWARE EWER PITCHER JUG BY LOUISA EDWARDS. Edwards & Emma Martin dated for 1877. This stunning antique Doulton Lambeth stoneware ewer/pitcher/jug is of a wonderful bulbous shape with a short slim neck with a wide rim and pouring lip and short curved handle, standing on a circular spreading base. It is superbly decorated with an embossed leaf and scroll pattern with beaded decoration in dark and pale blue and brown colours, superb quality and craftsmanship. Measuring 9 1/2″ high by 4 1/2″ at its widest part of the body approx. It is in excellent antique used condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration and is impressed marked to the base with the Date 1877, the Doulton Lambeth mark and artists/designers marks of ELE for Louisa E. Edwards and EM for Emma Martin, please see all the additional photos as they form part of the description. Royal Doulton Jug “The Village Blacksmith”. Limited Edition Jug, inspired by the poem by Henry Longfellow “The Village Blacksmith”. On one side is the Blacksmith. , and on the other are the children coming home from school who. Love to see the flaming forge. Designed by Charles Noke and featuring his name on one side of the handle, and Longfellows on the other. This jug is number 353 of a limited edition of 600, and was produced in 1936. We are pleased to offer for sale, this Royal Doulton “The Phantom of the Opera” D7017, Large Character Jug, COA included. Large Character Jug- “The Phantom of the Opera”. Limited Edition: 605 of 2500. This piece measures approx. 7 inches high (Large). This is a Royal Doulton interpretation of “The Phantom”, he is wearing a black suit detailed with white flower embellishments and a white shirt and bow tie. He has long grey hair, his hat is black with a silver band. The right side of his face has a form fitting black and red mask to cover his deformity which covers his nose, around his lips and down his jaw line. He has a smirk on his lips and the piercing and tortured look in his clear blue eyes. The handle is a stage and curtain. The colors are bright and vibrant, very detailed. Condition: Pre-owned, this item is listed as “used” but is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Slight scuff marks from shelf wear on the base edge. It does not have the original box but does include the Certificate of Authenticity. Please preview all photographs as they are part of the description. Standard Royal Doulton mark with Lion standing on Crown. MADE IN ENGLAND placed in the curve beneath the crown and curves on each side half way down the logo.
