Very Rare and Unique Piece. Up for sale is a Royal Doulton D7216 Nurse sales sample made by Casday. This Doulton measure approximately 5+ inches high. The D7216 piece was made specifically for the International Doulton Collectors Club (IDCC) for the year 2008 so the normal D7216 piece in and off itself is limited in edition size. This particular piece was the single piece that was made for display at numerous shows throughout the United States that showed the new Doulton pieces coming out in the year 2008. It was obtained from the US sales representative for Doulton that used the piece in giftware shows back in 2007and early 2008. This piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Both of the other examples were also from 2007. Both items had the exact same markings on the bottom of the pieces. Both of these sales took place in 2008. I can find no other Casday sample sales of Toby/Character mugs since. Please let me know if you have any questions or need any additional information or pictures.
