Offered for your consideration is this very nice rare large character jug depicting Clark Gable. Jug is approximately 7 tall and was produced in 1984 so it has been out of production for over 25 years. In the Charlton catalogue of character jugs 10’th ed. The story behind this jug which was supposed t be one of the celebrity collection is it was issued before permission was granted from the Clark Gable estate and had to be withdrawn when permission was denied. Only a small number of jugs are known to exist. Photos of the item above are a part of the item description. All photos are of the item being offered.
