Nice antique British earthenware pitcher / jug. Decorated with dancing ladies in blue transfer. Marked on the bottom with a green lion on a crown above Royal Doulton England. This mark was used between 1902 and 1930. Morrisian Ware was named after William Morris and produced between 1903 and 1924. Has crazing typical of earthenware, and a star shaped hairline to the base, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 6 1/2 inches wide from spout to handle x 7 inches tall. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.

Antique Doulton Lambeth England stoneware pottery harvest hunting jug pitcher with mounted Gerbruder Friedlander 800 H silver rim & flip up up hinged lid stands 7″ tall to top rim of jug and approx 6 1/2″ diameter. Raised relief pub and hunting scenes along body of jug. Friedlander Crescent Crown 800 H hallmark indicates date to be between 1888 and 1939 Impressed Doultonmark also follows that timeline. No chips or cracks very good antique condition. Just a lovely piece!

A large and impressive Doulton Lambeth Faience floral painted jug or pitcher by F. And Christina Wood C. The tall and elegantly shaped jug stands on bell shaped pedestal foot with a slender bulbous shaped body with a narrow long neck and large shaped and raised pouring spout with a looped and shaped handle extending from the top and resting on the upper body of the jug. The jug is hand painted with large flowering blooms on leafy stems painted in tones of yellow, brown, auburn and green against a cobalt blue and with an auburn glaze applied to the foot rim, handle and partitioning rings between the various sections of the jug. The jug has both impressed and printed Doulton Lambeth Faience marks to the base and is numbered 2621 and 875 and has various artist marks, including F. And presumably assistant Cristina Wood. A stunning and finely painted example nonetheless. 10.5″ tall, 4.5″ wide (near the middle), 3.5″ wide (top), 3″ wide (base). Any questions, please ask away.

This FABULOUS “liquor” Character JUG was MADE in ENGLAND by “ROYAL DOULTON” and of course, their QUALITY is SECOND to NONE. – The “LIQUOR” Character JUGS are GETTING very DIFFICULT to FIND as ONLY 2000 WERE PRODUCED!! — For SALE is this “LIQUOR DECANTER” series CHARACTER JUG with “MR MICAWBER” with the “PICKWICK DELUXE WHISKEY” around the bottom — MEASURES about 5 inches HIGH — MADE back in 1983 or so — IT is in PERFECT CONDITION with NO damage, NO chips, cracks or crazing — See my other auctions for OTHER ROYAL DOULTON ITEMS.
