Royal Doulton – Falconry Series Ware D3696 – Newlyn Jug – c1913. A Rare Newlyn Shape Jug made by Royal Doulton which bears the Nile St backstamp along with Falconry to the base. The Pattern D3696 was introduced in 1913 and withdrawn in 1930. The scene shows two horsemen and man standing with bugles and dogs and possibly dressed in Rennaissance period clothing. Border is a castle, scroll and repeated floral pattern. There are no cracks or chips, there is crazing. This Newlyn Jug is approximate 18 cm in height. Measurement is approximate only.
