This is a Toby mug by Royal Doulton, featuring the Elephant Trainer, #D6857. It is a special limited edition, and is #185 in the series of 250 that were produced. This particular piece features that this item is one made “To commemorate the Anniversary of the opening of the The Royal Doulton Rooms in the United States of America”. It is dated 1989. I also see the number “87” written in gold towards the side underneath. It measures 7″ tall, about 6 3/4″ across, and is about 5 3/4 in width from front to back at the widest point. I see no damage or signs of use – no chips, cracks or staining, just some small scratches and marks underneath. I do not have the original box or paperwork.
