HAS BLUE STYLISED RAISED THISTLE HEADS AND FOLAGE , REPEATED AROUND THE JUG, HAS A BROWN MOTTELED TOP & BOTTOM BORDER, WITH DOTTED DECORACTION , LOVELY SCROLLED TOP RIM, AND STYLISED DECORATED HANDLE. FULLY BACK MARKED IMPRESSED, TOGETHER WITH THE ART OF UNION MARK , AND EARLY ROYAL DOULTON BACK STAMP & VARIOUS OTHER MARKS & ITITIALS. MEASURES 10.5 INCH TALL X 4.5 WIDE. Antique SILVER OVERLAY Flambé Royal Doulton JUG Flambe Old Mark. GORGEOUS Antique SILVER OVERLAY Flambé Royal Doulton JUG Flambe Old Mark Approx. This is a beautiful Antique Royal Doulton jug with a stunning deep oxblood red flambe glaze. It is decorated with silver overlay with four leaf clovers and wheat for good luck. Comes with the original stopper. Marked Royal Doulton Flambe. Flambe items are sometimes difficult to photograph. The first photo is taken under soft low light. I chose to photograph the rest of them under bright light. This is an antique item and is not perfect. It has flaws and the bright light brings out those flaws for you to see. This jug is a deep oxblood red. Your monitor may display the color of the photos differently. This Royal Doulton Flambé Jug is in good used antique condition. There are no breaks, cracks, or repairs that I can see. There are surface scratches, mild surface wear, and small losses to silver, which is normal for a piece of this age. A superb Doulton Lambeth England profusely decorated stoneware jug signed MVM (Mark Marshall – one of the most sought after artists from the Doulton Lambeth works). Dimensions: approx 24 cms (9 1/2″) tall, approx 19 cms (7 1/2″) handle to spout and the circumference of the jug body is 51 cms (20) – it is a large piece by anyones standards. Condition: presents as perfect but has the feintest, tight stable hairline on the rim that extends about 4 cms (1 1/2) down the jug. Otherwise free from damage or repair. Unless you have the piece within inches of your face – you will struggle to detect this minor fault and the piece still displays beautifully. Dewar’s Scotch Night Watchman Royal Doulton Kingsware Jug 1902 Registry Mark

This is a 1902 registry dated Dewar’s SCOTCH Royal Doulton Kingsware handled jug with the famous Night Watchman holding a lantern….. Crescent moon at top…. Emb on front at base in dark raised letters below the Watchman….. And again on back in raised letters with white underglaze enamel highlight….. Bottom has ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND with lion & crown mark, along with English registry mark…. Rd No 400172 which indicates a 1902 date. Dark brown glazed pottery with pour spout and handle… Round with footed base ring… Excellent shiny near mint condition with no chips or damage. A nice clean jug with no stain. It was made around 1902 by Royal Doulton Pottery. Very desireable Night Watchman with great colors and effects! Notice that this bottle is Dewar’s SCOTCH….
