Royal Doulton Father Christmas Santa Claus Miniature Vase Jug. Royal Doulton advertising suggested these be given in place of sending Christmas cards. All of the items feature a Holiday scene with Santa, some with sleigh and reindeer. The coalscuttle features a turkey and holly sprig. All have mottos, such as A handsome hostess, merry host, a pot of ale, and now a toast, and Tobacco and a good coal fire Are things this season doth require. All are decorated with bells or holly boughs. I have collected a group of these little Christmas treasures over the past 30 years, and its time to pass them on to someone else.
