Rare Royal Doulton’march Hare’ Prototype Character Jug

Modelled in a distinctive straw boater with a five shilling price tag protruding from the hatband as opposed to the simpler approved hat with barley stalks in the hatband (as shown above). This version was presumably rejected due higher production costs. Aside from the different mould, the jug is decorated in a distinctive colourway of green coat, yellow scarf with white spots, pink nose, brown whiskers, straw coloured boater with red and blue hatband. Designed by William Harper. Stands 6 inches high. With no damage, no crazing and no restoration. As you can see from enlarging the pictures, the casting and decoration are outstanding. Scarce Royal Doulton Kingsware. This old Royal Doulton Kingsware flask was made in England and released in 1906 by Dewars Whiskey. It is in very good condition except for the small chip and smaller scratch and little nibble at the inner spout. See all photos for condition. It is without the stopper. Is the Inventor of the Spinning Frame. Which is illustrated and highlighted in gold on the reverse of the flask. His Millhouse in Derbyshire became a wonder of the age and he became the inventor of mass production and one of the first capitalists. THIS IS A RARE DECANTER and highly collectible. I have priced this scarce flask to match the condition. It is priced to sell and it could be yours! The flask has both the Dewars White Label whiskey and. The Royal Doulton backstamp. Diameter at the base approx. 3.5 Diameter at widest point approx. 4.25 Height approx. This Royal Doulton Kingsware Richard Arkwright Dewars Whisky Flask is in good condition. It is without the topper. There is one chip, a small scratch, and a nibble on the inner spout and a few very small surface scuffs on the body of the jug. There is also some crazing which is consistent with a jug of this age. This is an awesome piece. Please look at all the photos for condition. Photos are part of the description.
