A set of all three Royal Doulton Cliff Cornell toby jug colourways. Each is about 9 tall and each is in excellent condition. There is the Dark Brown suit version, the Dark Blue suit version, and, the ultra rare Light Brown suit version! Commissioned in 1956, these toby jugs were intended to be used as gifts for friends and associates, but because apparently Mr. Cornell was not a popular boss, a lot of the jugs were destroyed by his employees. Cornell was an avid admirer of British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, so these jugs depicted his image as closely as possible to that of Mr. Approximately 500 pieces each were issued of the large blue and dark brown jugs, but the number of light brown/tan jugs produced is unknown and is therefore much rarer.
