Lovely Royal Doulton hand painted floral Burslem jug with scattered gold leaf paint. These floral Burslem jugs were made between 1881 and 1902. The piece is 5.75″ tall, with a delicate 3.5″ tall gold handle. Good vintage condition with what looks like a repair near the top of the handle (see last photo closeup), and a chips along the bottom of the handle – see last two closeup photos. Lovely shades and gold, misty green and touches of amber. Royal Doulton was founded in 1815 and in 1882 it opened a factory in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, in the heart of English pottery.
