Royal Doulton Kingsware GOLFING Jug / Bottle / Flask. With nice colors and dark rich Kingsware glaze. What appears to be the original stopper, hallmarked for George Betjemann & Sons, London 1912 with attaching chain, is present in sterling silver making this a must have for serious Royal Doulton and Kingsware collectors. 8 3/4 inches tall and approx. Very good used antique condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. There is crazing consistent with age. Please see all photos for condition. Photos taken with a high resolution camera under bright light. This beautiful piece of Royal Doulton is hard to find and sought after by Kingware collectors. Kingsware was developed by Charles Noke and produced between 1898 and 1939. No other factory in the world has been able to recreate the same lustrous finish. The rich, brown affects of the Kingsware glaze were achieved by painting the design in colored slip on the inside of the plaster mold, then the dark slip was added to the body.
