ROYAL DOULTON CHARACTER JUGS – QUEEN VICTORIA D7072 &. D7073 – LTD EDITION & COA. Offered for sale are two charming Royal Doulton Character Jugs in the form of Queen. The jugs commemorate the marriage of Victoria and Albert in 1840. They were issued in 1997 by Lawleys by Post in a Limited Edition of 2500 pairs, and come with a Certificate of Authencity showing pair number 0469. The certificate is slightly creased. They were designed by William K. Harper, with the handle on Victoria formed as a Union Jack and Crown, and the handle on Albert formed as a Great Exhibition of 1851 banner. 4.5 inches tall, and are offered for sale in very good condition with no chips or cracks. They are fully marked on the base with the Royal Doulton stamp, the Limited Edition number, and the reference numbers which are D7072 for Victoria and D7073 for Albert.
