Catherine Howard was King Henry V III fifty wife. King Henry V III had six wives. On July 28, 1540 King Henry V III and Catherine Howard married. Catherine Howard was the niece of Thomas Cromwell, Earl of Essex. Duke of Norfolk, Thomas Howard just sixteen months after Queen Catherine and King Henry V III marriage accused Catherine of dalliances before and after her royal marriage to King Henry V III. Queen Catherine was informed of the allegations against her on November 6, 1541. King Henry V III abruptly left Hampton Court never to see his fifth wife Queen Catherine again. Catherine Howard # D6645. 1523 13 February 1542 was Queen of England from 1540 until 1541, as the fifth wife of Henry VIII; sometimes known by his reference to her as his “rose without a thorn”. Catherine married Henry VIII on 28 July 1540, at Oatlands Palace, in Surrey, almost immediately after the annulment of his marriage to Anne of Cleves was arranged.
