Very RARE Royal Doulton Kingsware CHURCHWARDEN ITEMS. ONE Tobacco Jar with Silver Lid &. LOT OF 2 a/f. Very Rare & Highly Collectible Royal Doulton Kingsware. CHURCHWARDEN ITEMS – 1 Dewar’s Whisky Flask & 1 Tobacco Jar. Both bear the backstamp for Royal Doulton. Dewar’s Jug – Approx. 9 1/2 tall, approx. Tobacco Jug with Silver Lid – Approx. 5 1/2 tall, approx. 5 1/2 wide handle to handle. These Kingsware “Churchwarden ” Items are impressive. The Churchwarden was a long, curved smoking pipe invented in the early 19th century, named after the dignified church administrators of the time. These Royal Doulton Kingsware Whisky flask and tobacco jar are in fair used antique condition. There are chips and a repair to the Jug handle and a chip to the tobacco jar. See photo #9 for damage. There is also crazing and surface scratches that are normal for pieces of this age. Please look at all the photos for condition. Photos are part of the description.
