This is Style Two with a handle, and the character seated on a barrel holding the jug of ale. The character is wearing a slate blue jacket, a green waistcoat, olive green breeches with the handle cleverly formed as strands of hair. 6.75 inches tall, and is offered for sale in it original undamaged condition. MANUFACTURING DEFECTS ARE USUALLY. On this item there is a firing crack at the base of the handle and also a manufacturing defect on his right knee plus another firing crack just below the green collar at the back of his head and a tiny firing crack on the rim. I realize collectors of these items expect these defects however I try to describe all of my items as accurately as possible. The Toby Jug is fully marked on the base with the Doulton Lambeth impressed stamp and reference number X8589.
