Presenting an exceptionally scarce and desirable antique whisky jug produced by the quality English makers Royal Doulton for Dewar’s Scotch Whisky circa 1914. This stylishly shaped Whisky jug is beautifully decorated with a transferware printed scene depicting the Bleriot Monoplane flown by Maurice Guillaux over Sydney Harbour in 1914. The reverse side of the jug features the black lettering “Dewar’s”. This scarce Australian themed piece would make a superb addition to any Royal Doulton Kingsware or antique whisky jug collection! CONDITION: This piece is presented in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is some light and fine overall crazing noticeable only on close examination but mentioned for complete accuracy. Original stopper no longer remains. This Whiskey Jug has been very well cared for and presents magnificently. MARKS: This piece is beautifully marked to the base with a black “Royal Doulton England” stamp along with Rd No 636615 and model number 150. Shop Pottery & Ceramics.
