A scarce C1910s Royal Doulton “Riverside Views” Castle shape jug. References from the late 1990s list the scene. Esigned by Herbert Betteley. As a newly discovered scene. Select group of artists at the Royal Doulton Burslem pottery. The pattern number D3300 dates the design to 1910. 13.6 cm high at the highest point. No chips, cracks or scratches. Very fine, clean, glaze crazing which is hard to see. No wear or damage to the green rim line. Bright glaze – much shinier than the photos suggest.
